Who is responsible
Ngen Experience, a wildlife watching and photography service in Torres del Paine operated by Andrés Inyelco from Puerto Natales, Chile. This is the party that decides why and how your data is used. For any question about it, write to contacto@ngenexperience.cl.
What data we receive, why, and on what basis
- Contact form. Name, email and message. We use them to reply to you. Basis: your request.
- Booking request. Dates, number of guests and, for each guest, name, national ID or passport number and date of birth, plus a contact phone and email. We use them to quote, confirm availability, coordinate the tour and meet the service terms. Basis: performing the service you ask for. We ask for the date of birth because, under safety protocols, children under 14 are not accepted.
- WhatsApp and email. If you write to us through these channels, we use your number or address and the content of your message to reply. Basis: your request.
- Site statistics. With your consent, Google Analytics records page views, device type, approximate country or city and where the visit came from (for example, Instagram). It helps us improve the site. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Guest photos and comments. We publish them only with the permission of the person who appears in them or sends them.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We do not make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that make the site and our operation possible, which process the data solely for that purpose:
- Hostinger, which hosts the site and its forms.
- Google (Calendar and email) to manage availability and send messages, and Google Analytics, only if you accept cookies.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to write to us through that channel.
Some of these services process data on servers outside Chile, for example in the United States. We ask for your consent before Analytics receives any data, and for the other services we use providers that apply the usual contractual safeguards for these transfers.
Cookies and storage
The site uses Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) only if you accept them in the notice. If you reject them, they are not stored. We do not use advertising cookies.
The site also saves two preferences in your browser, without sending them to anyone: your cookie choice (ngenConsent) and your language choice (ngenLangChoice).
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link in the footer.
How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not become a booking: up to 12 months.
- Booking data: for the duration of the service and up to 12 months after the tour, to handle questions or complaints.
- Tax and payment documents: the period required by Chilean tax law (6 years).
- Statistics: according to the Google Analytics configuration.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data, under Chilean Law 19.628 on the protection of private life and its amendment by Law 21.719, from the date it takes effect. Write to contacto@ngenexperience.cl, tell us what you want to do and we will reply within 30 calendar days at most. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Chilean Data Protection Agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales).
Deposit and bookings
The 30% deposit that holds the date of a tour is non-refundable.
Changes to this policy
If the way we use your data changes, we will update this page and the date above.
